To design is much more than simply to assemble, to order, or even to edit: it is to add value and meaning, to illuminate, to simplify, to clarify, to modify, to dignify, to dramatize, to persuade, and perhaps even to amuse. To design is to transform prose into poetry.
–Paul Rand
I work part-time at my church and am a member of the worship team playing guitar. I teach both adults and teenagers in bible studies. I am the church event photographer. I am very active with several Michigan Abolitionist groups. I am a site coordinator for the Greater Detroit Partnership of Churches Annual Detroit Love Fest. I am a prayer event coordinator for The Alliance of Warren Evangelicals.
I have a heart for social justice issues, race relations, gender equality, animal welfare, the environment, and human trafficking. I use my superpowers to Design For Good because I believe that good design can be a powerful catalyst for social change and there are quite a lot of things that I think need changing.
I received an A.A.S. In Design and Layout in December 2019 and survived the COVID19 Pandemic and received an A.A.S. In Design for the Web in May 2020.
A list of the software, websites, and apps I use to be a better designer.
Read MoreI have really enjoyed my experience at Macomb. It feels like family to me. Every one in the MACA Department works to create an atmosphere of success. Real life situations and applications for the skills we were taught.
About Macomb Before covid
we walked past each other
without seeing
Did you even notice the cyclops
in our midst?
We brushed past each other
unconcious of touch
I miss the crowds
I miss this
anonymity
but we are more
in unity
now that we are alone
