Phu Sala at Dusk or Sunset

Phu Chi Fa

Phu Chi Fa Forest Park has a mountian range overlooking the Thai/Laos border called Doi Pha Mon. The name Phu Chi Fa translates to "the mountain that points to the sky," which references to the experience tourists and locals have at its summit since it feels like you are literally on top of the world. Visitors can hike up the mountain to reach the stunning view at the top. It especially popular to do this hike in the early morning to watch the breath-taking sunrise and "sea of mist." As the sun rises the fog cloaks the vallies and hills and the mountaintops pierce through them.

In nearby Chiang Rai, visitors can check out Wat Rong Khun, or the White Temple, an architecturally intricate and glisteningly white temple; Baan Dam, or the Black House, a collection of painted wooden houses; and Wat Rong Seua Ten, or the Blue Temple, a vibrantly colored and intricate temple.
Chiang Dao Cave is one of the deepest limestone caves in Thailand with stalactites and crystal formations. Khun Korn Waterfall is the highest waterfall in the region. It is surrounded by lakes and mountains and after thirty minute stroll through a forest visitors can swim there.
