A type of sushi consisting of some combination of thin slices raw fish, slices of raw vegetables such as celery or avocado, wrapped in sticky white rice, then wrapped in seaweed, then finally, cut into short bite-sized pieces.
Nigiri is a hand-formed ball of rice, with a slice of fish over the top.
If you take out the rice, you have Sashimi!
Sashimi is thinly sliced raw meat—usually fish, such as salmon or tuna—that is served without rice. Usually served with wasabi and soy sauce.
