Permissions are expressed, verifiable consent to receive marketing emails from a user.
A user must opt-in to a mailing list to receive marketing emails.
Email blacklisting is performed by several official blacklists including Spamhaus, Barracuda, Reputation Block list and SpamCop. If an email fails to meet a blacklist's criteria for legitimate mail, it gets added to its list. ISPs (Internet Service Providers) will then reference a black list to make filtering decisions for emails.
Spam filters are programs that are used to detect unsolicited emails. Once marked as spam, an email will not make it to a user's inbox, but instead be sent to a spam folder.
Without good list hygeine, you are more likely to be marked as spam!
Send mail to real people only! Remove role email accounts from you list such as @support, @info etc.
Remove bounces, invalids and inactive responders.
Build you own opted-in, customer email database. Do not purchase one.
Make sure you only send emails to those who have opted-in.
Spam filters want you to know who you’re sending your email to. Personalize the mailing name field.
Don't launch a new campaign from a brand new domain. It doesn't have an established reputation and looks sketchy.
Make sure your content and code are clean and free of errors.
This may sound like a broken record—Make sure you only send emails to those who have opted-in.
