Frida Kahlo's personal belongings on display at the V&A in London
More than 200 items include artists makeup, clothes, jewlery and-a prostetic leg
Frida Kahlo’s bathroom kept its secrets for 50 years. When the Mexican artist died, in 1954, her husband, Diego Rivera, shut away around 300 of her belongings in a tiny bathroom in the house they had shared in Mexico City. He requested the doors remain locked until 15 years after his own death but although he survived only three more, the bathroom was undisturbed until 2004, when curators at the house-turned-museum broke the lock.
For the heading I used Oswald font Regular. Oswald is a classic san serif gothic typeface. It is an elegant typeface that works well with a lot of fonts like Arial, Roboto, Garamond, Merriweather etc. Oswald is characterized by tall X-height and normal condensed letterforms
I decided to use Merriweather for the body text, because it pairs really well with the heading. It is a semi condensed serif typeface with tall X-height, which gives it exellent legibility.Merriweather is traditional in feeling despite its modern shape.
